Very excited to be nominated and given this award for the third time. The LPGA Western Section consists of 7 states in the USA, Alberta and British Columbia, 2 provinces in Canada and 11 countries. I love to spend time on the golf course with my players.

About Us

Golf Tier System Academy LLC specializes in training students from 'New to Play' and developing them to be more confident on the course. The GTS Academy helps golfers measurably improve their game by providing a quantitative blueprint backed by 40 years of research. 

Golf Tier System Academy LLC was founded by Coach Taronne (TJ) Atley, founder and Head Coach of Zone Golf Academy Inc, in Vancouver, B.C. Canada.

Coach TJ joined the LPGA in 1986 and is a LPGA Life Member with over 40 years of professional golf experience.  Coach TJ is one of the top LPGA Coaches worldwide and was awarded the LPGA Western Section Junior Leader of the Year in 2021, 2022 and 2024.

Coach TJ attended to the University of Washington from 1980-1984, captained the golf team and graduated with a degree in Speech Communication. As an accomplished player, TJ played on 4 BC Provincial teams, placing 3rd place in the inaugural America’s Cup.  She played for Team Canada together with Dawn Coe-Jones, placing 6th in the World Team Cup Championship in 1983. TJ has played in 4 majors, including the 1986 U.S. Open and 3 Du Maurier Classics.

Coach TJ has placed over 150+ players on golf scholarships in universities across USA and Canada, and 35+ of her students have turned professional.   

Coach TJ has been a professional clubmaker since 1990.
